Ferrel “FC” Bonner’s career spans well over 30 years of military, political, and grassroots advocacy experience.

His professional career also includes: Emergency Management, Certified Cyber Security Practitioner, Facility Information Security Officer, Intelligence, Security, USDOJ Contractor, Volunteer for Texas Division of Emergency Management Disaster Reservist, and supporting the Secretary & Under Secretary of The Department of Veterans Affairs.

Ferrel is a Gulf War Veteran whose career began in the U.S. Army where he specialized in the following areas:

  • Military Intelligence (MI)

  • Security Management

  • Emergency Operations Center (EOC)

  • Special Operations Support (USSOCOM)

  • PATRIOT Missile Defense (Air Defense Artillery - ADA)

  • Tactical Communications

  • Chemical, Biological, Nuclear, Radiation (CBNR)

  • Personnel Management

  • Logistics Management

  • Executing quality control programs

 

While still serving, his commitment to community included:

  • U.S. Congressional Internship

  • Appointee Trustee, Employee Benefits Trust Board

  • 2nd VP Greater Huachuca Area NAACP

  • Vice Chair Mountain View Colored Officers Club Restoration Project

  • Adviser, National Trust Historic Preservation Initiative

  • Liaison for Arizona African American Legislative Days at the Capitol

After military retirement and returning back to Houston, he continued his commitment to community through:
